LightRoom 2.0 beta does not support catalog from 1.x

I downloaded lightroom 2.0 beta from quite long ago, but didn’t have time to install. I just installed it and found surprisingly it does not support my old 1.x catalog file!!
It said this when I open 1.x catalog:

The Lightroom catalog named “qevan” cannot be opened because it must be upgraded and the public beta of Lightroom 2.0 does not currently support upgrading catalogs from earlier versions.
If you wish to work with this catalog, open it with Lightroom 1.4 or earlier.

Do not be evil! I have to uninstall it and go back to 1.4. Hope after beta, LR 2.0 will support old catalog upgrade.

Last time, I spend too much time to turn to LR from picasa. But now I doubt if LR can last long. I wanna try apple’s aperture if I have a Mac sometime.

    稍微看了下LR的getting started，明显是在学picasa嘛。从non-destructive editing到web到slide show。。。貌似就是对RAW的支持强了点，曲线调节比较细。有个盗版用用还是可以的:D

    它的hotkey很强筋，能做的操作比Picasa多，可以很细致的调片子。
    最最强劲的是：它读出镜头信息。这点其他的软件都没。估计和相机厂商有dirty的关系。呵呵。

    镜头信息是啥？就是用的是哪颗头？

    感觉Nikon默认照出来太灰暗了，调来调去有时候又麻烦，准备改用RAW方便后期了。

    恩，可以看出用了哪个头。
    于是，可以按头来浏览了。

    还可以看到相机型号(以及编号,这个汗)，可以看看自己的相机发展史，镜头发展史。
